Two Good Capital Jonatan Christie At BWF World Tour Finals 2023
JAKARTA Jonatan Christie brought two good capitals to the BWF World Tour Finals 2023 which will take place from 13-17 December 2023 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center, China.
The owner of the 2018 Asian Games gold medal includes one of six Indonesian representatives who will compete in the closing event of the BWF Tour series.
Jonathan said that the improvements he has experienced so far this year will greatly help him face this prestigious tournament. In addition to the title, changes in mindset will have a lot of influence.
"This year there has been a lot of improvement not only from the results, but also from myself personally. I feel, especially at the end of November and October 2023, less mature," he said.
In addition, Jonathan passed this year with quite convincing results. The 26-year-old badminton player won a total of three important titles, two each from Super 500 BWF and one from Super 750.
Two titles from Super 500 were obtained at the Indonesia Masters 2023 and the Hong Kong Open 2023. Meanwhile, he held a Super 750 BWF title at the French Open 2023.

Jonathan admitted that apart from maturity, the big titles he got this year were positive things that he could bring to face the 2023 BWF World Tour Finals.
"Yes, of course, from this year, one of the years was quite good for me. You see, last year I dreamed of a Super 500 and Super 750 finals, but always failed," he said.
Even though he has very positive capital, Jonathan does not feel like he is in the wind. He considered the chances of all the players in this event to be equally large.
"It doesn't seem too easy because it will be much tougher. The players who play in the World Tour Final 2023 are also the top eight players. So, it will definitely be fun," he said.
Five other representatives who joined Jonatan to the 2023 BWF World Tour Finals were the men's doubles duo, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.
Then, the men's singles sector also has Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. The women's singles number is Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. Finally, there is the pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti in the women's doubles.
PBSI hopes that many in the men's doubles sector as well as men's and women's singles from six representatives will appear in the BWF World Tour Finals 2023.
