Mazda CX-3 Facelift Launches In Malaysia With Increased Variant Plus

JAKARTA - Mazda, Japan's automotive manufacturer, officially released an upgraded version of Mazda CX-3 for the Malaysian market. This imported car from Thailand underwent minor changes while introducing the Plus variant that replaces the Core variant.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, December 5, this compact SUV comes in three different types, namely 1.5G 2WD Plus, 2.0G 2WD Plus, and 2.0G 2WD High. Each variant has a special appeal to meet consumer needs in Malaysia.

Changes start from LED's redesigned headlights, equipped with LED daytime running lights (DRL) and fog lights that increase driver visibility under certain conditions. All variants get LED combination back lights, fog lights with traditional flares, and LED backlights.

The Plus variant gets an automatic folding mirror feature equipped with a rear parking sensor. While the highest variant has a front parking sensor as a standard feature, with a selectable sunset option.

On the exterior, Mazda offers two choices of rims, namely 16-inch rims with 215/60R16 tires for two initial variants, and 18-inch rims with updated designs and 215/50R18 tires for the highest variant.

Like other Mazda models, all variants are equipped with an 8-inch 'Mazda Connect' touch screen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity using cables.

Type 1.5G Plus and 2.0G Plus get a rear camera with a guide line, while 2.0G High is equipped with a 360-degree monitor, wireless phone charger, head-up display, and an automatic rearview mirror that can dim.

In performance, these three variants use naturally-assisted gasoline engines. The 1.5G 2WD Plus variant is equipped with a 1.5 liter Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder engine with 114 dk of power and 149 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 2.0G 2WD Plus and High variant uses a 2.0 liter Skyactiv-G engine that produces more power, namely 154 dk and 206 Nm of torque.

In Malaysia, the price of Mazda CX-3 Facelift is priced from 115,720 ringgit to 126,159 ringgit, equivalent to the range of IDR 383.7 million to IDR 418.3 million.
