Xiaomi Reportedly Will Present Two Additional Cars, There Is A Hybrid Version

JAKARTA - After its first model was revealed last month, a series of Xiaomi environmentally friendly cars began to be revealed and even rumored to be present in the hybrid version.

Quoted from the Cnevpost page, Tuesday, December 5, as is known, the first model of Xiaomi electric cars that will be present next year is SU7 or the internal modenat code.

Meanwhile, according to local media report AutoPix, this well-known company is very ambitious in presenting environmentally friendly vehicles, and the second model from Xiaomi is internally codenamed Lemang, and the third model is Kunlun.

Previous media reports stated that Xiaomi's third model will feature remote technology, although a source close to the company's R&D team said that in November, Kunlun was still in the process of transitioning from conceptual design (E1) to detailed design.

However, it remains a mystery whether Xiaomi's third vehicle will become a plug-in hybrid model (PHEV), or a long-distance electric vehicle (EREV). Regardless of whether Kunlun will later become an ordinary PHEV or EREV, the strategy of making hybrid models the third product is more of a practical step for Xiaomi to boost sales more quickly.

Seeing the condition of the Chinese market for the January to October period of 5.96 million units, China has received a surge in sales of new energy vehicle retailers (NEVs), including BEVs, hybrids, and fuel cell models.

In the first ten months of this year, sales reached 5.96 million units, an increase of 35 percent compared to last year. The BEV itself amounts to 4.0 million units, with hybrid vehicle sales soaring by 83 percent to 1.96 million units.

This impressive growth rate places hybrid vehicles, as tough competitors against conventional fuel-based vehicles.
