Agus Noor And Butet Kartaredjasa Feel Intimidated, This Is What The Police Say
JAKARTA - The theater scriptwriter, Agus Noor, and artist Butet Kartaredjasa felt intimidated by the police because they were asked to sign a statement containing not displaying political elements when holding a performance at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) on Friday, December 1.
Responding to this, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, asked the appointment organizers or those who felt aggrieved to report. That way the report can be followed up immediately.
"If there are persons who are not appropriate, please report them. So we don't have to have any perceptions, we don't have to assume," Shandi told reporters, Tuesday, December 5.
Not to forget, Shandi also emphasized that the National Police were neutral in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). It does not support any pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates).
"So, the neutral police in the activities that have been held, especially in the election," said Shandi.

Meanwhile, Agus Noor and Butet Kartaredjasa held an art show with the theme 'Musuh Bebuyutan'. However, before the art activity began, the organizers were visited by members of the Cikini Police.
