Roatex Will Evaluate Trials To Pay Tolls Without Touching In February 2024
JAKARTA - PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS) will conduct an evaluation of the results of the initial trial of implementing the contactless non-cash toll road system or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) on the Bali Mandara Toll Road. The evaluation will be carried out in February 2024.
Director of PT RITS Gyula Orosz said that his party would conduct trials on a number of friendly users' vehicles until the January 2024 period.
"The trial will start in December 2023, but that doesn't mean we will complete all trials this year. We will continue the trials in January 2024 and February 2024 we will conduct joint evaluations with the Ministry of PUPR," said Gyula when met at the Sequis Center Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 5.
Gyula said, if the evaluation carried out shows optimal results, his party is optimistic that it will immediately implement MLFF on 6 main sections in Indonesia.
"We will expand our system to the priority segment as well, we believe it can be more than six (toll roads), depending on the discussion and agreement of the Ministry of PUPR," he said.

The MLFF is the latest technology in the world that processes payments automatically for vehicles passing on toll roads.
Through this technology, toll road users can enter and leave without having to stop to pay.
This is possible because MLFF uses System Satellite Global Navigation (GNSS) technology, which is a system that allows transactions through applications on smartphones and reads via satellite, so that readers' tools on every place on toll roads such as RFID-based technology provide more effective cost solutions.
