The cooperation between these three companies is outlined in the Joint Development Agreement (JDA) related to Green Hydrogen and Green busyia on the sidelines of COP 28 in Dubai, Sunday, December 3.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said this collaboration was part of the follow-up commitment of the Strategic Alliance Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 14, 2022 during the G20 momentum in Bali.

"Green hydrogen is one of the answers to the energy transition. Therefore, the development of green hydrogen is our focus in efforts to accelerate the energy transition," Darmawan said in his statement to the media, Tuesday, December 5.

Darmawan said that this development collaboration is to maximize efforts to develop alternative energy that has promising economic potential and remain environmentally friendly.

In this collaboration, PLN will supply electricity for the Green Hydrogen Plant (GHP) sourced from the New Renewable Energy (EBT)-based power plant with reserves from additional clean electricity supply through a renewable Energy Certificate (REC) certificate.

PLN will provide the transmission network capacity for the EBT Power Plant connection project to this integrated green hydrogen industry system. Green electricity will be channeled through the PLN transmission system to the location of the Pupuk Indonesia factory as raw material for Greentaia.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia Rahmad Pribadi said this SOE synergy was one of the contributions in accelerating the achievement of the energy transition target in Indonesia.

"This collaboration is an extraordinary collaboration. This effort is not only for the benefit of a better environment but also to encourage better Indonesia's economic growth in the future," said Rahmad.

ACWA Power CEO Marco Arcelli said collaboration with PLN was a transformative journey. Together with PLN, ACWA is developing innovations and reading energy transition opportunities as economic growth.

"We are solving the challenges of this energy transition together. Making a variety of new innovations and creating good collaborations for the future of the world," said Marco Arcelli.
