JAKARTA Bagus (12), a elementary school (SD) student has a permanent defect due to a traffic accident in 2021. Good at that time he just came home from school, and he wanted to eat. But when he crossed the road, Bagus was hit by a motorbike. Because his right leg was so badly injured, his right leg had to be amputated by a doctor.
"My leg was amputated because I was the victim of an accident when I was about to eat, I didn't wait for my mother (when I came home from school)," Bagus told VOI, Tuesday, December 5.
"I immediately ran to the streets. There was a motorbike speeding and then I was hit. Yes, (due to an accident), my right leg was immediately amputated," he said.
The doctor's decision to amputate his right leg made the family sad. Especially Bagus. This child walks using walking tools every day, such as a support stick.
But now his enthusiasm emerged again when he began to join a community with disabilities. He received prosthetic leg assistance from Korlantas Polri.
"I'm very happy to have the help of fake feet from the Police," he said.
After receiving the help of prosthetic feet, the look on the face of the person with disabilities smiled.
The assistance for prosthetic feet was given by Korlantas Polri to a number of traffic accident victims.
