TPN Spokesperson Aiman Witjaksono Defends Himself, Allegations Of 'Noneutral Police' In Fact As A Form Of Love In Institution

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud MD, Aiman Witjaksono finally fulfilled the call for clarification by Polda Metro Jaya investigators, Tuesday, December 5.Aiman wants to be questioned about accusations that the police are not neutral in the 2024 General Election. Aiman said he felt awkward about the reports made."I frankly feel awkward about this report. First, the report was carried out one day simultaneously by six reporters at once," said Aiman, accompanied by his attorney Ronny Talapessy at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 5.He also admitted that he was confused about reports with allegations of hate speech related to SARA (Suku, Religion, Ras, and Intergroup)."Secondly, I was reported for hate speech related to SARA which carries a sentence of more than 5 years in prison. Of course this is a question, what is all this?" he said.Aiman defended himself that the accusations made were a form of love for the Bhayangkara Corps. The National Police, still consistently maintains neutrality."I have 22 years of coverage within the Police and I love the Police institution. So what I say is not related to institutions," concluded Aiman.Previously, Polda Metro Jaya received a report submitted to Aiman because it said the police were not neutral.
It was recorded that there were 6 reports received by investigators. In the report, Aiman is suspected of violating the Crime of Information Crimes and Electronic Transactions of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions as referred to in Article 28 (2) in conjunction with Article 45 A Paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No.19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia No.11 of 2008 concerning ITE and Or Article 14 and Or Article 15 of Law No.1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.
