3rd Floor Shophouse In Surya Kalideres Park Caught Fire

A puff of black smoke enveloped a shophouse on Jalan Taman Surya V, Pegadungan Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta. The 3rd-story shophouse was reportedly burned by fire.

"The object caught fire on the third floor shophouse. The cause is still being investigated," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin when confirmed, Monday, December 4.

A total of 5 fire engines were deployed to the location with 25 officers.

The fire was extinguished only Monday before sunset. It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

"The blackout process is complete," he said.

It is not yet known whether there were casualties or injuries as a result of the fire incident.
