KPK-Polri Sign Cooperation In Coordination And Supervision Of Corruption Cases
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the National Police have signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties agreed to coordinate and supervise the handling of corruption.
"As mandated by Law Number 19 of 2019, it is necessary to synergize between law enforcement officers in relation to eradicating corruption. The KPK also has the main task of coordinating with agencies that carry out eradication of corruption and supervision of agencies that carry out eradication of corruption," said KPK Temporary Chair Nawawi Pomolango to reporters at a press conference at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, December 4.
"So today, December 4, we are with the National Police Chief through Kabareskrim and the Deputy for Supervision Coordination of the KPK signed a cooperation agreement in relation to coordination and supervision in handling corruption crimes," he continued.
Nawawi did not specify what form of cooperation, including what corruption cases were coordinated and supervised. Today, the KPK-Polri are focusing on seeing the implementation of these two activities in the field.
"Then we try to pack it in one cooperation agreement," he said.

Similarly, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said his institution wanted to enforce the law, including eradicating corruption with the KPK. Thus, he welcomed the signing of the cooperation.
"I together with the main officials of the National Police Headquarters were present at the KPK building today to witness the signing of a cooperation between the KPK and the Indonesian National Police in the field of coordination and supervision," said Sigit.
Sigit at the meeting was accompanied by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Wahyu Widada, Inspector of General Supervision of the National Police, Komjen Ahmad Dofiri, Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Syahar Diantono.
Then, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, Assistant Chief of the National Police for Human Resources Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, Head of the Police Legal Division Inspector General Viktor Theodorus Sihombing.
