Dare! Fathers In Tasiklamaya Kill Children With Special Needs 10 Years Old

The Tasikmalaya Resort Police (Polres) has named the father and mother couple as suspects in the murder of their own biological child with special needs.

"The suspect is the victim's biological parent," said Tasikmalaya Police Chief AKBP Suhardi Heri Haryanto during a press conference to reveal the murder case of a child with special needs in Tasikmalaya, Monday, December 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the suspect's initials SM (50) was the biological mother, and BK (61) the biological father of the victim was a resident of Sukasaish Village, Singaparna District, Tasikmalaya Regency. Based on the results of the police investigation, both of them claimed to have abused and caused the death of their son AN (10).

The police chief said that the case began with a public report on the death of a child with special needs who was considered unnatural, then the police conducted an investigation and autopsy on the victim's body.

The autopsy results, said the Police Chief, found several wounds of abuse as well as stab wounds to the right abdomen of the victim which allegedly penetrated the intestines, causing the victim to die.

"The violence was carried out by the two of them alternately at their homes," said the Police Chief.

He revealed that the suspect's violence against his son took place from August 2023 to October 12, 2023, which was triggered by anger at the victim when he was going to be bathed and fed.

The acts of violence that were carried out in a row, he said, such as hitting, pinching, forcibly pulling clothes and hitting his head, even the perpetrators dared to hit him with objects such as brooms, wood, dips, and spoons.

"The results of the information we found, indeed these parents have excessive temperament when raising their children, especially since the child is no longer being cared for by them, plus the victim is a child with special needs," he said.

The police in handling the case secured evidence in the form of a photo of the victim while living with her adopted father in a healthy looking condition, then a photo of the victim while living with her biological parents who were in different conditions.

In addition, evidence in the form of pillows and sarongs with traces of blood, as well as the victim's clothes, then the equipment used by the suspect to persecute the suspect was in the form of spoons, dips, and some equipment at home.

As a result of his actions, the suspect is currently in the detention cell of the Tasikmalaya Police Headquarters to undergo further legal proceedings and is charged with Article 80 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection or Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
