Ceasefire Agreement Ends, Israel Accuses Hamas of Violating Agreement
JAKARTA - A week-long ceasefire in Gaza ended Friday morning local time, when Israel accused Hamas of violating the agreement when their air defense system intercepted a rocket.
Quoting The Times of Israel on December 1, the Hamas militant group is said to have not provided a list of hostages to be released today at 07:00 a.m. local time.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement and also firing rockets into Israeli territory. In response, they said they had carried out attacks on Hamas positions.
Quoting CNN, one hour before the deadline set for Friday expired, Israel's air defense system intercepted a rocket launched from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said. There was no indication who launched the single rocket.
The IDF said its fighter jets carried out air strikes against Hamas militant positions in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Palestinian media Shebab, which is said to be affiliated with Hamas, reported the sound of gunfire and explosions from the northern area of the Gaza Strip.

It is known that during the previous seven-day ceasefire, as many as 80 Israeli citizens, especially women and children (some of whom had dual citizenship) as well as 24 foreigners who had been held hostage, had been released. Other Israeli dual citizens were also released outside of the agreed terms.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, 240 Palestinian prisoners have been released from Israeli prisons, most of whom are women and minors.
