Bellingham Always Shocked Ancelotti, But Can't Be Compared To Zinedine Zidane

JAKARTA - Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is often surprised by the achievements of his player Jude Bellingham. But he cannot be compared to Zinedine Zidane, a legend and former Madrid coach.

Ancelotti stated that it was difficult to compare Bellingham and Zidane because they came from two different generations. They also have different qualities.

A comparison between them came as Bellingham returned to being an important actor when Madrid beat Napoli 4-2 in the Champions League match. The player who was brought in from Borussia Dortmund scored one goal and made one assist.

"It's hard to compare him with Zidane. They are of two different generations. Bellingham seems to have the ability to always appear in the penalty area. On the other hand, Zidane doesn't have one," said Ancelotti.

Furthermore, he said, "Zidane has individual qualities, but Bellingham doesn't have them. In addition, modern football wants players who have a strong physique and are able to close the pitch quickly."

Bellingham made a brilliant debut when he joined Los Blancos. He scored 15 goals and made four assists during 16 appearances in various competitions.

Meanwhile, Zidane, who played in Madrid from 2001 to 2006, confirmed himself as one of the giant legends of La Liga Spain.

Although it cannot be compared to Zidane, Ancelotti admitted that he was always surprised by Bellingham's achievements. Especially in this goal score from the England winger.

"I was always surprised every day and every game. Not only us but everyone was always surprised. He was like a gift for football," said Ancelotti.

"Teammates, fans and all around the world are happy to see his performances. He is indeed a player who has positive potential and image," he said again.
