China Asks Citizens To Be Careful Amid Increasing Influenza Cases

JAKARTA - China urges its citizens to take precautions in the midst of the surge of infectious respiratory diseases in the country.

Some regions include Tianjin, east Zheijiang and South Guangdong are reportedly experiencing a surge in influenza cases, especially for the AH3N2 or B/Victoria type, according to the Global Times Beijing reported by Antara on Thursday, November 30.

The Tianjin Disease Control and Prevention Center urges residents to take precautions such as obtaining vaccination and paying attention to personal hygiene.

Tianjin has formed an early warning system, and classifies the influenza outbreak as Level III.

Meanwhile, the Zhejiang disease control center notes that winter has always been the peak of influenza, with lower temperatures making it easier to transmit viruses.
