DHFMulai Mewabah, Pemkab Lombok Tengah Masifkan Fogging

PRAYA - The Central Lombok District Health Office, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) conducted fogging in Tanam Awu Village and Bangkat Parak Village, Pujut District in order to prevent cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) from transitioning the dry season to the rainy season.

"Today we carried out fogging in Bangket Parak Village and Tanak Awu Village," said Head of the Central Lombok District Health Office, Suardi, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.

Fogging was carried out after the alleged case of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) that occurred in the two villages, so it is hoped that it can prevent dengue cases in the local area.

"So that the area is free from mosquitoes that cause dengue fever," he said.

He appealed to the public to maintain cleanliness and environmental health together, so as to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes that cause dengue fever during the rainy season.

In addition, to anticipate an increase in dengue cases in Central Lombok, his party hopes that all levels will increase their education efforts to the community in eradicating mosquito nests.

"DHF is caused by the Dengue virus, transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes mosquitoes," he said.

Therefore, to prevent it, it can be done through draining activities, closing and reusing used goods to prevent mosquito bites (3M Movement). The cause of the current case of dengue fever is weather factors, namely rain, heat and rain again.

"The 3M movement must continue," he said.
