Postponed, Destiny 2: The Final Shape Will Be Released On June 4, 2024

JAKARTA - The developer of the Bungie video game, has confirmed that the launch of Destiny 2: The Final Shape which is planned to be released on February 27, 2024, will be postponed until June 4, 2024.

"Hey everyone. We'll make it short and simple. The Final Shape takes more time to be what we wanted, so we moved the release date to June 4, 2024," the developer wrote in an announcement on its official website.

Bungie said that The Final Shape is the culmination of the first ten years of the story of Destiny and Guardian.

"We wanted to respect the trip, so we took the time to realize a bigger and bolder vision, which we hope will be remembered and appreciated over the years to come," added Bungie.

Nevertheless, Bungie emphasized that other upcoming content, Season of the Wish will still start on November 28 and will last until February 2024. After that, new content ahead of The Final Shape will also be released.

"Although most content and narratives for Season of the Wish will take place from late November to February as originally planned, the team added new content available for all players to the launch of The Final Shape," he explained.

Bungie will share more details and new gameplay for the expansion in April, featuring a significant addition of content in its work.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape will be present on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. The game sees the Guardian adventure into the Traveler to pursue The Witness, facing a world of memories twisted by darkness.
