Rihani, The Defendant Of The IPhone Reseller Fraud Claims To Be Invited By Rinahan, The Twins

TANGERANG - Defendant Rihani admitted that he had never sold his products to the public through social media regarding the iPhone fraud case.

This was conveyed directly during a trial with a pledoi agenda or defense of the defendant at the Tangerang District Court (PN), Monday, November 27.

It is known that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged the twins Riana and Rihani, the defendant in the iPhone buying and selling fraud case, with a sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion.

The twins, Riana and Rihani, are considered by the prosecutors to have been proven to have committed a criminal act intentionally and spread false news that is misleading, resulting in consumer losses in electronic transactions.

In his trial, Rihani read out his objection note while crying over the case that ensnared him.

He explained that at first he did not know about the iPhone sales activities, because he was busy working.

Rihani admitted that he was invited by his twin to sell goods from other sellers. Or commonly called resellers for iPhone products.

"I, who at that time saw this sales business as a reseller, made a profit like other businesses that did benefit. By continuing to carry out my activities as an office employee from Monday to Friday. Every day and early I became a reseller, everything went smoothly," said Rihani while crying in court, Monday, November 27.

Rihani considers that he has never used his personal social media accounts to offer the products he sells. Instead, the consumers came to him.

"They each buy privately to buy and offer themselves to be my reseller," he said.

Rihani explained to resellers and consumers that the sales system is Pre-order or products that have a packaging period of seven days or more.

"That this business with a pre-oder system with full payment at the beginning only goods will emerge later with the provisions they know," he said.

After that, he often communicated with his reseller regarding the sale of his products. However, with all the time running, there are obstacles that ultimately have a big loss.

"I also often communicate with all resellers as partners all these days and everything went smoothly. I don't understand that this reseller will cause a big loss," he added.
