Loyo Sales So Porsche's Reason For Not Presenting The Latest Wagon Version Of Panamera
JAKARTA - Porsche has launched the latest generation from Panamera with a new style and engine that is more powerful than ever. However, manufacturers do not provide the model in the form of a wagon.
The model option, referred to as Panamera Sport Turismo, was not presented in Panamera's latest lineup of models. The German manufacturer saw that the sales of the wagon version turned out to be slow so they did not continue their development.
In China and the US as our main market in Segmen D, Sport Turismo has only played a small role. Therefore, we decided to stop this variant of the model by launching a new generation," Porsche wrote as quoted by Automotive News, Friday, November 24.
Meanwhile, based on data released by Autocar, the Sport Turismo version only accounts for less than 10 percent of Panamera's overall sales while explaining why the manufacturer decided not to update the model.
Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo was first introduced in 2017 and got a facelift in 2020. This model takes the basis of a second generation series with a redesigned back so as to produce a more spacious baggage room.
