First Impression Of Driving With Wuling BinguoEV: Summary Of The Latest Technological Rich
JAKARTA - Wuling officially introduced its newest electric vehicle, the BinguoEV, to the Indonesian market. Thus, this Chinese manufacturer expanded its EV ranks in the country after launching Air ev last year.
BinguoEV combines iconic exterior designs and modern touch in an innovative environmentally friendly vehicle. In view of the tagline Drive Electric, Be The Icon, BinguoEV allows each user to become an icon in change towards sustainable mobility.
With its cute design in the style of a city car, what becomes curious is the sensation of driving and the pleasure of the features offered.
VOI on Friday, November 24, had the opportunity to feel the impression of driving, what did it feel like? Here's the review.
Interior Comfort
On the inside, both passengers and drivers are immediately greeted with interior luxury that resembles premium class cars. The inside is dominated by quality fine skin material, although in some parts it still uses standard hard plastic.
Although it has a fairly compact size, this car offers a spacious room for rear passengers. In fact, for drivers with a posture of 170 cm and above, it still provides leg rooms and a relieved head room.
Likewise with the driver's share, Wuling offers comfort in the front seat. However, long-legged drivers need adaptation because the pedal space is not wide enough and the manufacturer only provides a tilt steering steering steering setup option and an electric seat setting only exists on the driver's part, passengers still use conventional configurations.
Functional Features
This car is embedded with many features that support the mobility needs of its users, some of which are Cruise Control, Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH), Creep Function, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Rear Parking Camera.
When we try it on the expressway, we use the Cruise Control feature to keep the speed while driving. This system can be activated when this car is traveling at a speed of 40 km/hour. If it is at that speed, it is necessary to press the system's activation button located on the steering wheel and the car automatically drives itself at a steady speed without stepping on the gas pedal. To turn it off, you just need to step on the brake pedal.
We also tested incline areas to use features such as AVH, Creep Function, and HSA. When passing through the area, we tried the Creep Function feature. By stopping at the incline and quenching AVH, we removed the brake pedal and Creep Function can work with cars can climb alone on the incline without the help of a gas pedal just like an automatic transmission conventional car.
Another feature being tested is the Rear Parking Camera, which can help drivers look back without the need to turn their eyes forward. By simply turning the transmission lever to R, the screen display on the dashboard will automatically display the rear conditions of the vehicle.
Performance And Sensation Of Driving
Wuling provides several driving features on BinguoEV, namely Eco, Eco+, Normal, and Sport. When testing this vehicle, we went straight to test the performance of this vehicle to experience the acceleration of Sport Mode in this car. The results are beyond our expectations.
Even though when stepped on by the gas it takes a fraction of a second to get a quick response, but when it is at a speed of more than 40 km/hour, this car immediately shows its performance by successfully touching at a speed of 80-100 km/hour while testing it.
Agile Manuver
At the time of this test, we were faced with the challenge of passing zigzag. Unlike Air ev, BinguoEV is able to overcome these challenges agilely and there is almost no convexness in this vehicle.
The steering wheel in this vehicle is also prepared lighter so that drivers can reliablely maneuver or make it easier to turn when passing the corner.

Conclusion
Wuling once again shows that their presence cannot be underestimated by their competitors. With the presence of BinguoEV, the manufacturer from the Bamboo Curtain Country is able to provide the latest option for electric vehicles in Indonesia.
With its stylish, cute and compact hatback design, this car is perfect for consumers who want mobility in urban areas.
Although there are shortcomings such as the absence of the Wuling Indonesia Command (WIND) feature and several other shortcomings, this car is quite appropriate when priced from IDR 350 million to IDR 400 million depending on the distance offered.
