Muhammadiyah Gives Honorary Member Cards To Prabowo
SURABAYA - Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) gave an honorary membership card to presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto after attending the Muhammadiyah Open Dialogue in Surabaya.
"The card of honor members is given not only to Pak Prabowo," said General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah, Abdul Mu'ti at Muhammadiyah University Surabaya as reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 24.
All presidential and vice presidential candidates who attended the public dialogue held by Muhammadiyah, said Mu'ti, were given an honorary membership card. Only the Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka did not get an honorary membership card, because he did not attend the public dialogue held.
"We give members the honor to Pak Anies and Gus Muhaimin, also to Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud, also to Pak Prabowo. If Mas Gibran comes, we will also give him," said Mu'ti.
He explained that based on Muhammadiyah's household budget, members of honor are given to figures who have commitment and integrity, as well as closeness to the community organization.
There are three types of membership, namely ordinary members, extraordinary members, and members of honor.

"Hopefully political communication, whether elected or not, will be well established. Because it already has the same track record for Muhammadiyah," he said.
Regarding Prabowo's program which was presented in public dialogue, Mu'ti said it was quite logical and realistic. However, he said, due to time constraints, his party could not find out how to realize these prepared programs.
"How is it in applying the idea that it has not been conveyed in detail due to time constraints. However, Muhammadiyah will continue to conduct studies on the ideas of the presidential and vice presidential candidates," he said.
