The Presence Of GIIAS Bandung 2023 Can Improve West Java PAD
JAKARTA GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 for the first time will be present at Sudirman Grand Ballroom, Bandung City, West Java, on November 22-26 2023.
The presence of GIIAS 2023 is expected to increase Regional Original Income (PAD) from the motor vehicle tax sector.
This was revealed by the West Java Provincial Government through the West Java Regional Revenue Agency.
"We expect GIIAS 2023 to be able to increase Regional Original Income (PAD) from the motor vehicle tax sector," said Head of the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), Dedi Taufik, in an official statement from the West Java Provincial Government.
According to Dedi, there are around 25 million vehicles, as many as 16 million registered and 10.6 million of them paying taxes. Now, the West Java Provincial Government will encourage the achievement of new vehicle registrations in line with the presence of GIIAS Bandung 2023.

Meanwhile, the Bandung election as the host of GIIAS 2023 was not without reason. According to GAIKINDO General Secretary, Kukuh Kumara, West Java is one of the provinces that has an important position in the national automotive industry.
It was recorded that 15.6 percent of the national motorized vehicle market share came from West Java and took second place nationally in the January-August 2023 period.
"The implementation of GIIAS Bandung 2023 has the potential to continue to grow seeing the rapid development and achievements of the automotive industry in West Java," said Kukuh.
"Currently, West Java's position in the national motor vehicle industry achievement map is very good. However, we think West Java's potential can still be pushed and maximized," he added.
At its inaugural event, GIIAS Bandung 2023 will present the latest technology and products out of a total of 15 passenger vehicle brands, namely Audi, Chery, Daihatsu, DFSK, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi Motors, Seres, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Wuling.
Then three motorcycle brands, namely Benelli, Keeway, and Royal Enfield as well as various automotive supporting industries were also present at this exhibition.
