Arrested Without A Fight, Husband Who Beats His Wife To Death In Tangerang Becomes A Suspect

TANGERANG The Tangerang Police Satreskrim finally arrested Ali Ahmad, for the death of his wife, DM. Based on police investigations, Ali was proven to have beaten his wife to death. Ali was arrested without a fight at his residence, at Surya Jaya Housing, Cempaka Village, Cisoka District, Tangerang Regency.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Police, Kompol Arief N Yusuf, said that Ali's arrest was based on evidence and explanation from the testimony of witnesses.

"Securing the perpetrator at his home, which is the scene of the incident," said Arief when confirmed, Friday, November 17.

Arief said Ali admitted that he had beaten his wife by hitting the victim's chest until she fell, and also clamping the victim's body parts so that they did not move.

"The perpetrator hit the victim's chest until he fell, and also tilted the victim so that he didn't move," he said

For this case, the perpetrator was charged with Article 44 Paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (KDRT) and threatened with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.

Repeating the testimony of a witness named Melinda, she said that the commotion between the husband and wife (couple) began when Ali had just returned from work, Monday, November 13, at around 19.00 WIB.

Arriving at his residence, Surya Jaya Housing, Cisoka, Tangerang Regency, he saw his wife busy playing cellphones (HP).

Ali, continued Melinda, felt that his presence at home was ignored by his wife. That's what made Ali angry.

"When he was reprimanded, there was a verbal altercation between husband and wife," Melinda said, Thursday, November 16.

Ali, who was annoyed, immediately pushed his wife until she fell and was unconscious. Seeing his wife faint, Ali panicked and got drinking water for him. But the wife didn't wake up.
