Mahfud MD Ke Pemilih Muda: Jangan Golput Dengan Alasan Muak Lihat Proses Pemilu
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD reminded young voters to vote in the 2024 General Election. Do not let them become white groups without a polling place (TPS).
This was conveyed by Mahfud when he was a public lecture speaker at Andalas University (Unand), Padang, West Sumatra, Thursday, November 16. He said that young voters in Indonesia were quite large in the 2024 General Election, namely 115.6 million people.
"Don't go through it on the grounds that you are fed up with this election process, because you see political conditions at the elite level," Mahfud said in a written statement.
Mahfud does not want smart voters like students to finally be aptic and golput. This is because rational voters must vote to prevent leaders from having a poor track record.
The vice presidential candidate paired with Ganjar Pranowo also invites young people such as students to monitor the running of democratic parties. If there is or seeing fraud they are asked not to close their eyes immediately report and viralize it if necessary.
"This election is a democratic party, so it must be carried out in a neutral and dignified manner. If someone cheats, just viralize it," he said.

Meanwhile, Unand Chancellor Yuliandri conveyed Mahfud MD's presence at public lectures as an effort to invite students to participate in creating peaceful and dignified elections.
"Meeting and talking directly with Mahfud MD is a very good opportunity. He is a legal expert in Indonesia, there is a lot of knowledge that can be obtained by students from this public lecture," concluded Yuliandri.
