BKPM: There Are 3 Large Investment Companies In Grand Batang City, One Of Which Is LG With A Value Of IDR 142 Trillion
JAKARTA - Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia stated that there are already 3 large companies filling the "Grand Batang City" Batang Integrated Industrial Zone, Central Java, namely LG, KCC Glass, and Wavin.
"Especially for LG, which will invest IDR 142 trillion in the battery industry, which will be parallel to the nickel smelter investment in North Maluku," he said in Batang, quoted from Antara, Monday, February 15.
LG will invest in a consortium, including together with Indonesian Battery Holding which is a combination of MIND.ID, Pertamina, PLN, and Antam.
He encouraged Grand Batang City to immediately complete the infrastructure development process related to 450 hectares of land in the first phase which is targeted to be completed in May 2021.
This, he said, so that by June 2021 to July 2021 there will be no more issues related to cut and fill and the maturation of 450 hectares of the total planned 4,300 hectares.
"In accordance with the plan in 2020 until today, we from BKPM see the preparation of 'on progress' in accordance with the initial plan." (Therefore) by 2021 Grand Batang City is ready to accept tenants who will invest," he said.
The Regent of Batang Wihaji said that the duty of the regional government to serve all those related to investor services, especially those that must be carried out by the regional government.

Wihaji said that according to President Joko Widodo's message that the construction of the Batang KIT must be able to create jobs.
