Governor Respects Police Investigating Fictitious Honorary Allegations At Setwan DPRD Riau Islands
The Governor of the Riau Islands (Kepri) Ansar Ahmad respects the legal process for alleged fictitious honorary recruitment at the Riau Council Secretariat (Setwan) of the Riau Islands Regional People's Representative (DPRD).
"What is called a legal process, yes we have to respect," said Ansar in Batam, Riau Islands, Friday, November 10, as reported by Antara.
He said the investigation carried out by the Police regarding this matter was correct and had to be followed up.
"If there is something fictitious, please follow up, we respect the ongoing legal process," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Riau Islands Police, Kombes Pol. Nasriadi said that his party had examined 22 witnesses in this case.
"We have asked for information from 22 people from victims to workers at the Riau Islands DPRD Setwan for the finance, recruitment and others. If officials have not been examined, this is still ongoing," said Nasriadi.
He said this investigation was carried out because of a report from a community who was a victim of this fictitious honorary.
From the results of the investigation by the Riau Islands Police, it is known that there are around 605 fictitious honorary employees recruited at the Riau Islands DPRD Setwan from 2021-2023.

Based on the results of the interim investigation, his party found the three modes used by these individuals in carrying out their actions.
First, there are people who do not qualify to register as honorary Setwan of the Riau Islands DPRD, but the data is stolen and accepted to work as honorary.
"Like the victim who reported this, so after he was not accepted as an honorary, the reporter looked for another job and was not accepted because BPJS Ketenagakerjaan had been registered as an honorary in the Riau Islands DPRD. Even though he was registered as an honorary, the victim did not receive a salary and did not know that at all," he said.
Then the honorary workers who were declared to have graduated, but never entered the office and received their monthly salaries.
"Thirdly, there are unscrupulous officials who have assistants and drivers who are registered as honorary staff at the Riau Islands DPRD Setwan, even though they are not working. They work personally for unscrupulous officials, but are paid by the state," he said.
