US Grand Prix Results Ratified, Haas Request For Review Rejected

JAKARTA - The decision on the results of the United States Grand Prix was passed after Formula One judges rejected the Haas team's attempt to request it was reviewed weeks after the event.

The judges decided that Haas did not present any significant and relevant new elements that were not available to them during the October 22 race in Austin, Texas.

However, they also stated that its inability to enforce track boundary rules well for all participants at the Circuit of the Americas sixth corner is "completely unsatisfactory" and solutions must be found before next season begins.

"Whether this problem can be solved with better technological solutions, track modifications, combinations of both, or different regulatory standards and enforcement, let the more competent experts make such assessments," they added.

This decision was reached after a virtual hearing that began on Wednesday, November 8 and was postponed until Thursday 9 November.

Haas, who was in last place in the championship, asked for this review during last weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix as they believed some of their rivals violated track limits without sanctions.

Representatives from the organizing FIA, Aston Martin, Williams, and defending champion Red Bull were invited to a virtual hearing while McLaren and Ferrari were also present as related parties.

Haas submitted on-board video footage of four cars leaving the track several times at the sixth corner - Williams Alex Albon and LoganZiant, Sergio Perez of Red Bull, and Lance Stroll of Aston Martin.

The team owned by the United States argued that the track boundary violation was not "considered, not investigated, and not punished by the judges as reflected in the final classification."

Representatives from Aston Martin, Red Bull, and Williams all argue that there are no new elements since all-car on-board cameras were available to teams during the race and no secondary evidence, such as CCTV, was presented.

Hakim menemukan bahwa rekaman kamera on-board mobil Albon dari Williams dan mobil-mobil berikutnya adalah signifikan tetapi tidak baru, tidak pernah tersedia sebelumnya, atau relevan.

Albon finally finished ninth in Austin while in tenth place. Haas has Nico Hulkenberg who finished in eleventh place.
