Kadin Asks Papuan Entrepreneurs To Take Advantage Of Export Opportunities To Papua New Guinea
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Ronald Anthono asked business actors in Papua to take advantage of export opportunities to Papua New Guinea (PNG) which can be done through PLBN Skouw, Jayapura City.
Ronald said, export opportunities to PNG are wide open, be it basic necessities, building materials or construction and others.
"Currently this opportunity is very open so it is hoped that business actors can take advantage of this opportunity," said Ronald Anthonio, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.
He said that his party had written to the central Chamber of Commerce and Industry to make Jayapura an exit for goods exported to PNG.
There are several considerations that the Skouw PLBN is an exit, including a road to a good border and facilities at the Skouw PLBN can support export activities.

By making the City of Jayapura a gateway for various commodities to PNG, the existence of PLBN as an entry and exit of goods and people can be utilized optimally.
Currently, there are entrepreneurs who have exported several commodities to PNG, but they are carried out on a small scale because they are carried out by involving families living in the country.
"Hopefully this opportunity will be used as well as possible by business actors in Papua to seize this opportunity," concluded Ronald.
