Many Passengers Fall From Buses, TransJakarta Still Conducting Investigations
JAKARTA Junaedi, one of the passengers on the TransJakarta bus eliminating smoke in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, said that when passengers panicked, many fell, they wanted to save themselves.
"A lot of it fell there, I helped earlier. Passengers on the run came out, were afraid," said Junaedi, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident, Monday, November 6.
Meanwhile, Public Relations of PT TransJakarta has not provided an official statement regarding the TransJakarta bus that emits thick smoke, triggering panic among a number of passengers.
"We already know, the cause of the (flood of smoke) is being investigated," said PT Transjakarta Public Relations Staff, Echi when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 6.
In addition, it is not yet known that the injured victims were due to the incident. The passengers who had saved themselves from leaving the diversion bus were immediately diverted using another bus. Meanwhile, the bus was evacuated by TransJakarta for repairs.
"Please wait for an official statement from us," he said briefly.
