Writing To The KPU, DPD Invites 3 Candidates For The 2024 Presidential Election To Meet
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Nono Sampono said the DPD was ready to invite three potential pairs of presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) to run in the 2024 presidential election. "The results of the DPD leadership meeting last Monday we agreed to send a letter to the KPU to invite the presidential and vice presidential contestants to be invited by the KPU to meet with the DPD RI," said Nono at the DPD State Dialogue event at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, November 3 afternoon. He assessed that every presidential and vice presidential candidate must meet with the DPD because it is a representative from the regions. in addition to visiting campuses, he hopes that the three candidate pairs meet with DPDs who understand better the conditions in the regions. "We want the president to understand the condition of the regions in the future. What he will do in the future for the benefit of remote areas, areas that still occur, areas that still miss limitations," he said.
