Generative AI Assistant On Zoom Successfully Reaches 1 Million Meeting Summary
JAKARTA - Today, the Zoom video conferencing app announced that one of its flagship features, namely Zoom AI Companion, has generated more than a million meeting summarys.
The Zoom-generative Artificial Intelligence Assistant (AI) feature was just launched about two months ago. However, the 125,000 accounts that use this feature have benefited from the generative AI Zoom developed.
"We provide AI Companion at no additional cost and we continue to launch new AI capabilities with Zoom innovation speeds," said Head Product OfficeZoom, Smita Hashim.
Looking at this achievement, Zoom will continue to take advantage of innovations from AI optimally. This communication service is also working to reduce overhead costs and expand user access to a generating AI.
Meanwhile, to improve the performance of the AI Companion feature, Zoom added several updates that all users who have subscribed to.
AI Companion users can now ask AI assistants through their function-meeting requests during the meeting. Questions asked can use several new languages.

In addition, the summary feature in the meeting has also been updated so that users can see the short essence at the top of the summary sent via email. This essence update came into effect this month, but Zoom did not release its official date.
Zoom also plans to add several updates such as a summary of the andin-meeting requests in 32 new languages, including Indonesian and meeting coach functions so that users can practice as a host for meetings.
AI Companion will also be available on Zoom Events with a compose chat feature capable of compiling message drafts in chat rooms and assisting in the preparation of email drafts for those who regulate registration, marketing, and tickets.
Finally, AI Companion will add an operational control for users who want to use a large language model (LLM) Zoom model specifically for their organization.
