Bali Police Delegate 16 Suspects In Vila Destruction Case In Karangasem
DENPASAR - Investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Bali Regional Police have transferred 16 suspects in the case of the destruction of Villa Delitiga Neano Resort Bugbug, Karangasem, Bali to the Karangasem District Attorney.
Head of the Bali Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, said the delegation of 16 suspects and evidence of the destruction of the Villa Delitiga Neano Resort Bugbug, to the Karangasem District Attorney was carried out on Wednesday (2/11) after the case file was declared complete (P21).
"Investigators have transferred 16 suspects and evidence related to the Police Report Number: LP/A/470/VIII/2023, dated August 30, 2023, regarding the incident of vandalism by residents at Villa Delitiga Neano Resort Bugbug Karangasem," Jansen said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 2.
The delegation was led directly by the Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Bali Police Ditreskrimum AKBP Endang Tri Purwanto.
The activity of delegating the suspect and the evidence was attended by the Prosecutor from the Bali High Prosecutor's Office and the Karangasem District Attorney's Office in the Bali Police Ditreskrimum examination room.
The following 16 suspects are Ni MS, Ni WS, Ni KPS, WW, GAHA, KS, KHS, Ni WP, Ni WT, GA, NKA, WW, WM, KA, PS, and WM.
With this delegation, the case files for 16 suspects were declared complete and the responsibility was in the hands of the Prosecutor of the Karangasem District Attorney, Bali.
Previously, the resort vandalism case occurred on August 30, 2023. A number of residents of Bugbug Village, Karangasem, Bali visited the Dentai Neano Resort for rejecting the construction of the resort.

According to residents, the location for the construction of the resort is adjacent to the temple where the residents in the village practice it.
Residents who refuse to enter the resort area are still in the construction stage and damage a number of facilities and even burn them.
Not accepting the residents' actions, the contractor reported the incident to the Bali Police. Based on the investigation and title of the case, 16 residents were named as suspects.
Dozens of residents who have been detained by the Bali Police have different roles, both entering the yard without permission, damaging and burning property belonging to Detiga Neaono so that they fulfill the criminal element of Article 187 of the Criminal Code concerning criminal acts of burning, Article 170 of the Criminal Code, Article 406 of the Criminal Code, Article 167 of the Criminal Code and Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
