Johnny G Plate Feels Wronged To The Point Of Calling The Witness Make Himself A Garbage Basketball
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate feels wronged by the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who stated that he had enriched by receiving Rp17.8 billion in the alleged corruption case of the 4G BTS project.
Plate accused the witnesses of positioning him as a trash can because he transferred his guilt.
He made this statement when he read out the memorandum of defense or plea for the demands of the public prosecutor (JPU) that he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
"At the time of reading of the demands by the public prosecutor who said that I was enriched in the amount of Rp. 17.8 billion, I really felt wronged, once again wronged, and treated arbitrarily, and very unfairly by the public prosecutor," said Johnny in a trial at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta State, Wednesday, November 1.
According to him, the prosecutor's demands were only based on the testimony of witnesses looking for safety. They admit that they have received the money only so they don't become suspects.
"So I do not hesitate in the trial to provide information or more precisely slander to me by throwing all my mistakes at me and making me a garbage basket of mistakes," he said.
In fact, Johnny claimed to never know the money or the source and the party who gave it.
"I don't know where the funding came from," said Johnny.
