JAKARTA - The Chairman of the Honorary Division of the PDIP DPP, Komarudin Watubun, said that the PDIP faction of the DPR RI has not discussed seriously the proposed right of inquiry proposed by Masinton Pasaribu against the Constitutional Court (MK). However, Komarudin admitted that he was happy with the attitude shown by Masinton. "Not yet, we haven't (discussed) yet. But earlier Mr. Masinton, I understand that, these are the former members of the road. We also used to be new-order opponents, right," Komarudin told reporters at the DPR RI building, Tuesday, October 31. "I'm happy, yes, especially our friends in the PDI-P faction, maybe in certain ways we limit them to talk about. But, if it is about fundamental matters for their countries they must rise up and do their opinions, yes, at least they argue," he continued. The member of Commission II of the DPR also supports Masinton's steps. Because according to him, the constitutional changes used for the benefit of certain groups can have a bad impact on Indonesian democracy. "Moreoverall, we all know, the constitutional change is only for the benefit of groups, for a moment of interest, it can't be like that. It will be difficult for all of us," he said. Komarudin also warned that in the future Indonesia would not repeat historical accidents as had happened in the past. Moreover, he said, if it concerns the basic laws of the state. "If now we repeat the old mistakes, we should apologize to the past mistakes. So they must still show their idealism. Moreover, they show their idealism. Moreover, this concerns corrections to the basic law, "said Komarudin.
