Gatot said that the disclosure of this case stems from intelligence information related to the entry of packages of international methamphetamine-type narcotics through Soekarno-Hatta Airport with EB recipients. From the information obtained, drugs were smuggled in a cake-making machine.
"The suspected shipment package arrived on July 18, 2023 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport with an alert crane or cake maker weighing 48 Kg. During an in-depth examination of the machine, officers found white powder in the engine's base iron plate," he said.
Gatot explained that EB was controlled by M and H who were suspected of being abroad. The perpetrator asked EB to bring a package of shipments to a villa in the Puncak area, West Java.
