Police Name Black Fortuner Driver Who Hits Woman While Swafoto Becomes A Suspect

The West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) finally named a suspect status against Kevin Steven Salim (28), a black Toyota Fortuner driver who hit a woman named Nazalla Alfiyani (18) on Jalan Pesanggrahan, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.

The determination of the suspect was carried out after the police held a case until they finally raised Kevin's status as a suspect.

"Today we raised the status from the beginning of the witness, we raised the status of a suspect. That is after we conducted a case at the West Jakarta Metro Police," said West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head, AKBP Sigit Purwanti when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, October 25.

AKBP Sigit explained, after the incident, the Laka Unit then immediately conducted a crime scene investigation and a series of investigations. Investigators also collected evidence and witness statements around the location.

"We have also conducted a fortuary driver to do a urine test. The result is negative urine for drugs," he said.

Meanwhile, according to the suspect Kevin Steven Salim's confession, he was only tired and sleepy while driving a car in the early hours of the morning.

"Fortuary drivers admitted that they were sleepy at the time of the incident, resulting in Lakalantas," he said.

Even so, the suspect Kevin Steven Salim was charged with Article 310 paragraph 1, paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 283, Jo 229 paragraph 4 of Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ related to driver negligence. The suspect is also languishing in the West Jakarta Metro Police detention cell.

Nazalla Alfiyani (18), a woman suspected of riding a Honda Vario motorcycle with the number B 3390 UAE, suddenly bounced after being hit by a Toyota Fortuner speeding on Jalan Pesanggrahan Raya, precisely near the fruit shop All Fresh, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Monday, October 23. The incident was reported to have occurred on Monday morning at around 02.50 WIB.

The accident occurred when the victim Nazalla Alfiyani was sitting on the motorbike she was driving. Then the victim took a selfie with a man suspected of being the victim's lover.

When the victim was in a style like a model, suddenly passed Toyota Fortuner with the number B 2601 UBQ driven by the perpetrator named Kevin Steven Salim.

"Fortuners drove from south to north, when they arrived near the fruit shop, the car hit a person sitting on a motorbike with the initials NA," said West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head, AKBP Sigit Purwanto to VOI, Tuesday, October 24.
