Twitch Will Allow Live Broadcast To Other Streaming Platforms

JAKARTA - During the TwitchCon 2023 event in Las Vegas, the company announced that Twitch will now allow users to stream simultaneously on other live video sites.

However, the company emphasizes that simultaneous broadcasts are allowed during the experience of Twitch users not being disturbed on other platforms.

"We believe that we are giving you the freedom to stream simultaneously on other services, but we also want to make sure that Twitch users' experience is not disrupted," Twitch wrote in its announcement quoted Monday, October 23.

That is, with this new capability, you ensure that the quality of Twitch user experience on Simulcast is not inferior to experiences on other platforms or services, including through your engagement with the Twitch community, for example, through chat.

In addition, you are not allowed to provide links, or direct your community, to leave Twitch for your live broadcast on other services.

Lastly, Twitch also insists on not using third-party services that combine activity from other platforms or services on your Twitch stream during Simulcast.

"Such as combining chats or other features, to ensure the Twitch community is included in your overall live streaming experience," the company said further.

This guide applies to all streamers, unless you have an agreement with Twitch that requires exclusivity.

On the other hand, Twitch has tried to update its overall policies to make users and investors happy.

The company is just trying to solve the problem of disseminating personal information outside of its platform, and they have even tried out a machine learning program that can moderate chat.
