Facebook And Instagram Accused Of Removing Pro-Palestinian Posts

JAKARTA - Thousands of Facebook and Instagram users who support Palestine admit that their uploads are hidden or deleted. In fact, the uploads they shared did not violate any policies.

Messages in the form of support for Palestinians injured and killed by Israeli airstrikes could no longer be found. In fact, several accounts calling for peaceful protests across the United States city and plans for action in the San Francisco Bay Area were blocked by Facebook.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer Aya Omar also complained to The New York Times that he could not see the Palestinian media he used to read. The reason is, the account is blocked by Meta and Instagram.

Meanwhile,ung Institute on platform X, formerly Twitter, said that Instagram and Facebook blocked a number of posts reminiscent of the true history of the Israeli and Palestinian wars.

Quoting from the New York Times, Meta responded to this complaint. They confirmed that there were deleted uploads due to problems with the company's system.

This hug affects accounts around the world and has nothing to do with the subject matter of content. And we fixed it as quickly as possible," said Meta Spokesperson Andy Stone on platform X.

Meta briefly explained last week that their platform did not implement policies based on certain beliefs, but was flat for the entire community. They also never put pressure on certain communities to one-sided or side-by-one.

Seeing the rampant disinformation and uploads that clouded the wars of Israel and Palestine, Meta said that the volume of reported content was so high. That way, content that actually does not violate the policy may be erased due to a technical error.
