MotoGP Mandalika 2023 Boosts Regional Tourism Sector
JAKARTA The Mandalika MotoGP race has succeeded in boosting the tourism sector and the creative economy of the local area.
Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Central Lombok Regency H. Lendek Jayadi in a press conference at the Media Center Indonesia Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Saturday, October 14, said that currently there are hundreds of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who have participated.
"There are about 20 MSMEs in the circuit. Outside the circuit, such as at the Mandalika bazaar location there are 302. Apart from selling food, there are also selling various crafts such as woven ketak," he said.
Mandalika is one of the Super Priority Destinations (DSP). This location is known for its natural beauty, especially the beautiful landscape.
In addition to natural tourism magnets, the presence of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), also encourages tourists to come to this place.
"Rapiers, apart from buying MSME products, were immediately posted on their respective social media and went viral," said Lendek.
Lombok has become an extraordinary super priority tourist destination. Since the existence of the circuit, various culinary delights to typical NTB crafts have indeed become increasingly famous.

Tourists, both local and foreign countries, can now not only enjoy the atmosphere of racing, but also various natural beautys to typical foods. This includes seven tourist villages in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) with various cultural attractions.
Lendek said that the Mandalika 2023 MotoGP spectators can also enjoy various side events which are divided into several zones, including the Merdeka Zone, Bhinneka Zone, Tropical Zone, and Pusaka Zone.
"There are 50 MSMEs assisted in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023. A total of 42 MSMEs for food and beverage products will enliven the booth area of the Bhinneka Zone (Zona A), which is adjacent to the NORTH Tunnel. Meanwhile, 8 other MSMEs will be in Zone B, which provides Lombok's signature handicrafts and souvenirs, along with MSMEs from the archipelago," he said.
