Meta Launches Edit And Voice Note Features In Threads, Try It Now!

JAKARTA - Apparently, the Meta technology giant is still developing its Threads application to be able to compete with Elon Musk's platform X (formerly Twitter).

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri and Meta Platform Inc. owner Mark Zuckerberg announced that Threads is now presenting two new features, namely the edit feature and voice note.

"Launch two new features for Threads this week. You can edit a series of messages up to five minutes after posting them, and you can share your thoughts using a suite of voice messages," Mosseri wrote in a post on Threads.

As Mosseri has already said, you can only edit your Threads up to five minutes after the Threads are uploaded. So, if it's more than that time, you won't be able to edit it anymore.

According to VOI's monitoring, this feature appears to have been rolled out globally, including in Indonesia. If you want to try it, please open Your Threads on the app or on the website.

Although these Threads were created to compete with X, Mosseri and Zuckerberg have no intention of making their platform a news-focused platform.

"We are not anti-news. Clear news is already in Threads. People can share news; people can follow accounts sharing the news. Neither will we get in the way of anyone," he wrote.

"However, we will also not exaggerate the news on this platform. Doing this will be too risky given the maturity of the platform, the negative impact of overpromised, and the risks," Mosseri stressed.
