Dandim Asks Residents To Keep Post-Clash Security Until It Ends In Arrows To Police

The Military District Commander (Dandim) 1606/Mataram Lieutenant Colonel of the Medan Artillery Corps (Arm) Muh. Saifudin Khoiruzzamani appealed to residents in the Monjok and Karang Taliwang neighborhoods to maintain security and public order (kamtibmas) after the arrows against police officers who carried out security clashes between groups of residents.

"We urge people in both environments to maintain peace and contribute to maintaining mutual security," said Lt. Col. Arm Saifudin in Mataram, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.

He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the residents, representatives of community leaders and officers from the two environments who have supported the efforts of the TNI/Polri and the government in recovering the security situation.

"Thank you for the cooperation of all parties in restoring conditions in Monjok-Taliwang. We also hope that this situation that has returned to normal can be maintained in harmony," he said.

In an effort to maintain a conducive situation, the Mataram Dandim said that his party together with the National Police and the government have committed to continuing to carry out community development activities with various activities that can foster empathy to maintain harmony with each other.

One of the efforts made together, he said, the TNI/Polri and the government participated in the congregational midday prayer at the Qubbatul Islam Mosque, Karang Taliwang Environment, Tuesday (10/10).

The TNI/Polri together with government officials prioritize a humane approach with the community. According to Lt. Col. Saifudin, residents really need a conducive situation.

"So, community activities have begun to recover, return to normal. At the momentum of the midday prayers in the congregation in Karang Taliwang, we saw quite a lot of people who joined. Many residents were present, they were enthusiastic about our intentions and goals. who participated in worship there," he said.

The arrow against police officers who carried out security for clashes between groups of residents from the Monjok neighborhood and Karang Taliwang took place on Friday (6/10) at dawn.

Three members of the police were also victims of an arrow carried out by a number of residents from the Karang Taliwang neighborhood.

Even though there were victims, the police managed to disperse the action on Friday (6/10) morning.

From this incident, the police have carried out legal proceedings against residents of Karang Taliwang who were involved in the arrow.

As of Tuesday (10/10), the police have named 21 suspects, 4 of whom are still students.
