Dave Mustaine: I Don't Know When Kiko Will Come Back
JAKARTA - In a new interview with Greg Prato of Ultimate Guitar, Megadeth's leader Dave Mustaine talks about adding a new tour guitarist Teemu M Wayntysaari (Wintersun, Smackbound). Teemu replaces guitarist Kiko Loureiro, who missed the Crush The World tour due to family needs.
Talking about Kiko's current absence from the Megadeth tour, Dave said: "I love [Kiko] and I want him to finish whatever he's going through. And fortunately, he has mentioned the name of a man, Teemu Muntysaari. Teemu tours, and he's ready."
"I don't know when Kiko will come back," Mustaine continued. "He's not going back to run this [tour schedule]. He's at home, and he's continuing to struggle because there's no better term and doing whatever he needs to go through."
"To honor him, I don't ask what the real problem is because it's none of my business unless he tells me," continued Dave.

"But in my opinion, for any fan, they will say, What's going to happen? 'Don't worry. I've chosen good guitar players in the past, and I trained them well. Teemu is very capable of playing these songs. In fact, we added a new song to the set. It's also very interesting. "
"I wish Kiko all the best. I love him, and I hope to get good news from him soon."
