Secure World Title For The Third Time, Verstappen Is Proud But Doesn't Want To Be Boast
JAKARTA - Formula 1 (F1) racer Max Verstappen managed to occupy second place in the Qatar F1GP sprint session. The result also led him to secure the F1 title for the third time in a row.
With these results, Verstappen has now successfully matched Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna as owners of the same title in Formula 1 of all time.
Of course, this is a proud moment for Verstappen for being able to bring Red Bull back to winning. On the other hand, Verstappen did not forget to express his gratitude to all the crew and mechanics working on the grid and factory.
"This is unbelievable, I don't know what to say. It was an extraordinary year, thank you for giving me this car," said Verstappen after winning, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 8.
This year is a matter of pride for me. I want to thank everyone on this track, the people at the factory who gave everything to build this car," he said.
This season Verstappen has successfully recorded 13 wins. Where 10 of them were successive victories with the RB19 car he was riding on.
When asked about the possibility of winning another year's title, Verstappen did not want to boast. He wants to enjoy the success of this year's champions and finish the season before working hard to return to winning next year.
