Toyota Introduces The Future Car Concept Inspired By Land Cruiser, Ready To Explore The Moon
JAKARTA - Toyota presents the concept of a future car to explore the moon, designed by CALTY Design Research, Toyota's global design network center in America.
The concept in question is the Toyota Baby Lunar Cruiser (BLC) which was built to conquer the steep terrain in the earth and its surroundings. The BLC itself comes with a unique combination of adaptive technology and an inheritance design signal from the Land Cruiser FJ40.
"California is a center of fresh ideas, cool car culture, and a glamorous film industry that inspires CALITY to create innovative designs and create new trends," said Kevin Hunter, president of CATTY Design Research, from his official statement, Friday, October 6.
Talking about the design presented, it looks very futuristic, with a wide windshield and several sharp curved accents on the side of the front to the back. Not to forget the words 'Toyota' is also pinned to the front.
Entering the cabin, the BLC is equipped with a digital dashboard and augmented reality features, there are also dual joysticks that can be used to control tires. Interestingly, various cameras and sensors are embedded to support browsing.
Meanwhile, the back of the separate door configuration provides flexibility in order to adapt to all kinds of adventures on the moon. The concept tires from the BLC come airless.

The manufacturer revealed that this car is capable of driving 10,000 kilometers only from fuel cell technology. Equivalent to the entire lunar equatorial circumference which is 11,000 kilometers long.
