Student Brawls At Genjing Market Matraman Already Existed A Long Time Ago, Residents Wonder Why It Never Ended
JAKARTA - A group of students were seen running around in a mess when a number of students from the opposing camp carried out attacks using sharp weapons of the type of sickle on Jalan Pramuka, Rawasari Village near the Genjing park, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
The students saved themselves by running towards the Taman Genjing Green Open Space (RTH), Cempaka Putih.
"I saw that there was a brawl between students. But I don't know which students and what the brawl was because of," said Partini (65) one of the eyewitnesses at the location, Tuesday, October 3.
Partini said that the brawl between students was seen partially running into the park.
"So they came from the direction of Jalan Pramuka and continued to enter the park until it was dispersed by local residents," he said.

Partini said brawls between students in the Taman Genjing area often occur. He was also afraid to see the behavior of students who fought by carrying a knife.
"Yesterday, my broom was brought by students who were involved in a brawl. I am very afraid of a brawl here, especially since I am old. Especially if I get hit by a target," he said.
It is not yet known whether there were any casualties or injuries as a result of this brawl. Meanwhile, the case is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cempaka Putih Police.
