Celebrate International Podcast Day, Spotify Launches Auto Transcript Feature

Spotify introduced a new feature ahead of International Podcast Day on September 30, namely transcriptpodcast. This feature will make the transcript appear automatically and synchronize with time.

With this feature, users not only listen to the podcast, but can see the content of the conversation textually. This feature is very useful for those of you who are lagging behind the conversation and lazy to listen back or for those of you who have problems with hearing.

To view this transcript, you just need to scroll down the screen in View While Playing. After that, tap the card at the bottom to see the text in full-screen mode.

Spotify will not ignore this feature and will continue to develop it, especially since podcasts are one of their focuses. Therefore, the company is committed to further innovating in the transcriptpodcast feature.

So far, they have promised the launch of the transcript to millions of episodepodcasts in the coming weeks and are trying to add media to the transcript. However, the addition of this media is still just a plan.

In addition to transcripts, Spotify also releases Chapter Podcasts where users can mark the desired chapter with a time stamp. With this Chapter, you don't need to repeat the topic you listened to last time or search manually by moving the time.
