Not Far From The Concept, Genesis Introduces GV80 Coupe In South Korea
JAKARTA - Not too long ago the public saw a version of the Genesis GV80 Coupe concept, precisely in April at the 2023 New York Auto Show.
But it didn't take long for the manufacturer to produce competitors from the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe SUV. The plan, this Hyundai luxury car will be sold starting October 11 in South Korea and will be accompanied by the latest version of the GV80.
"Along with the redefinition of luxury boundaries, Genesis believes that GV80 and GV80 Coupe will meet the growing needs of our growing customers," Genesis Chief Brand Officer Graeme Russell said on the official Genesis website, Wednesday, September 27.
Quoted from Motor1, Wednesday, September 27, GV80 Coupe is the same concrete picture as the concept car introduced in New York and uses an exclusive rim measuring 20 and 22 inches. This car retains the sporty roof spoiler from the previous concept and has a quad exhaust system for flagship versions.
Genesis will reportedly sell its first Coupe with a striking dual mesh radiator grip and an option of 13 exterior colors, including an unavailable Bering Blue feel on other models.
The most significant difference between concepts and production models can be found in them, where the production model has a 27-inch wide infotainment display. The screen looks very large than the two screens combined. Dial for dental voters and knob infotainment also has a touch of luxury crystals similar to those of high-end BMW products. The concept's individual bucket chair has been replaced with a more comfortable leather-coated chair with a three-pass passenger bench.
The cabin nuances give a premium impression from almost every corner. The central console has touch climate control, while the back seat can be donated for enhanced comfort or practicality. There are five interior colors to choose from, including three new colors: Glacier White, Earth Brown, and Bordeaux Brown.
Technically, Genesis GV80 Coupe has a length of 195.4 inches (4965 millimeters) with a large wheelbase (wheelbase distance), which is 116.3 inches (2955 mm). Its width reaches 77.7 inches (1975 mm) and a height of 67.3 inches (1710 mm), with a standard four-wheel drive configuration and an automatic transmission of eight accelerations. Regardless of the engine, all versions are equipped with a fuel tank with a capacity of 21.1 gallons (80 liters).
