Housing Fire For Elementary School Teacher 39 Kassi Maros Hanguskan 10 Houses
The teacher housing fire at Elementary School (SD) 39 Kassi, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi) resulted in as many as 10 houses being scorched by the "red jago".
"This fire scorched 6 housing units of elementary school teachers 39 Kassi and 4 houses on stilts in Pettuadae Village, Turikale District, Maros Regency," said the victim, Wahyuni, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 22.
According to him, the incident took place while cooking for his sale.
Initially, he only saw the smoke behind his house, but did not see the fire so he continued to cook again while shouting at the residents around him to find the source of the smoke.
It turned out that after being traced, the fire came from the housing of the 39 Kassi Elementary School teacher. Local residents tried to extinguish the fire which had grown around 17.00 WITA.
After a while 6 units of fire engines (damkar) from Mako Damkar Maros arrived and immediately extinguished the fire assisted by local residents.
After struggling for almost an hour, the fire brigade team assisted by residents managed to extinguish the fire in the housing of school teachers and houses on stilts belonging to residents.
This was confirmed by the Commander of Pleton III Maros Damkar, Irwansyah during the activity on the sidelines of the fire fighting effort.

According to him, the source of the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short from Mursalin's house, which was one of the victims of the fire.
Then, the fire grew and spread to the floor of the house board and also to the house around it.
He said the speed with which the fire spread was supported by the wind and also residents' houses made of wood.
To extinguish the fire that engulfed 10 housing units, he was deployed with 8 fire engines at the fire site.
"There were no casualties in this fire. However, material losses are estimated at around Rp. 500 million," said Irwansyah.
