Until August, The Realization Of State Budget Expenditures Of IDR 1,674 Trillion, Equivalent To 54 Percent Of The Target
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani informed that the realization of state spending until August 2023 was IDR 1,674.7 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 54.7 percent of the ceiling in the APBN of IDR 3,061.2 trillion.
"State spending in August 2023 grew 1.1 percent compared to the same period the previous year (year on year/yoy)," he said.
The Minister of Finance detailed that this state expenditure consisted of central government spending of Rp1,170.8 trillion and transfers to the regions (TKD) of Rp503.9 trillion.
Meanwhile, central expenditures are divided into two, namely ministry/institutional expenditure (K/L) which amounted to IDR 581.6 trillion and non-ministerial/institutional expenditures of IDR 589.1 trillion.
"The spending of ministries is influenced by the acceleration of priority infrastructure completion, the implementation of IKN development, distribution of various social assistance, and support for election preparation. Meanwhile, non-K/L spending consists of the realization of subsidies and compensation, such as fuel, electricity, pre-employment card programs, and electricity subsidies," he said.

Furthermore, TKD which had been distributed amounted to IDR 503.9 trillion, up 5.2 percent YoY from August 2022, which at that time recorded IDR 478.9 trillion.
"The distribution of TKD as of August 2023 continues to improve," he said.
For information, as of last month, the State Budget posted a surplus of IDR 147.2 trillion. This positive result was obtained from a larger state revenue of IDR 1,821.9 trillion compared to state expenditures of IDR 1,674.7 trillion.
