All Owners Of Business Places Are Not Except For Meatball Stalls In OKU Must Have Fire Mitigation APARTs
All owners of business premises in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency are asked to prepare a Light Fire Extinguishing Tool (APAR) as part of mitigation as early as possible related to the fire disaster.
Head of the Prevention Division of the OKU Fire Hazard Management Service (PBK) Yatino said that every business actor or owner of a graded building is required to provide APAR.
"So, people who have multilevel buildings and places of business such as cafes, meatballs, including Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU), must have the tool," he said in Baturaja, OKU, South Sumatra, Tuesday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that APAR must be owned as a form of anticipation and the first step in the event of a fire hazard, so that it can be extinguished immediately before the flames spread until it scorched the building.
According to him, the obligation to provide APAR is contained in the OKU Regency Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 12 of 2016 that every building, housing, environment and business actor and several other points must have the tool.

Based on the results of a surprise inspection (sidak) conducted by his party some time ago to a number of shops and other business places in OKU Regency, only about 30 percent have APAR.
Therefore, currently, his party is intensifying socialization to increase public awareness, especially business actors and the owner of the APAR building is important.
"We continue to intensify the socialization of this APAR through appeal letters and the media so that people are educated to provide this tool at their place of business," he said.
Especially for gas stations, he continued, it is mandatory to complete APAR before operating as the main recommended condition of the PBK Service.
"The APAR gas station is an absolute requirement. The point is that we send letters to all relevant parties every year to provide APAR," he said.
