Case Of Misuse Of 2,310 Liters Of Diesel Fuel In Melawai West Kalimantan, Police Bring BPH Migas

The Melawi Resort Police (Polres) will bring in an expert witness in the handling of a case of misuse of 2,310 liters of subsidized diesel fuel (BBM) in Melawi involving two suspects with the initials BHN and SKD.

Melawi Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Syafi'i said the witnesses presented from Jakarta came from the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).

"We have detained two suspects and evidence and we will examine the expert witness BPH Migas Jakarta to strengthen the handling of the case," he said in Melawi, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan), Tuesday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the disclosure of irregularities in diesel fuel types in Tahlut Hamlet, Semadin Lengkong Village, Nanga Pinoh District, Melawi Regency began with public information, which was then followed up by the Melawi Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

In addition to naming two suspects, the Melawi Police also secured and confiscated evidence of nine drums containing 2,310 liters of diesel oil, one unit of yellow and hose sin robin and one note of sale of diesel fuel.

"We have installed a police line at the crime scene and a quo status," said Syafi'i.

Syafi'i said that in this case, the two suspects were charged with Article 55 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation to amend Law Number 22 of 2021 concerning Oil and Gas.

"We make sure that the legal process for the fuel case continues according to the applicable regulations," said Syafi'i.
